    Basketball

Many of you may or may not remember that I love sports. All sports. Any sport. I love to watch, I love to participate, I love to live in a world where sports exist. Yes, I even like to watch golf. I know, I'm crazy.

So, it's a GREAT time to be a sports fan in Boston. The Red Sox are always there for you (just like the Cubbies, but a *little* better...), and it seems that the Patriots are going to be great again this next season (come on back, Tom Brady!). But, what's really exciting are the Celtics and the Bruins right now.

Last night, I fell asleep during the 3rd quarter of the Celtics game (after the Bruins had already been confirmed winners for the evening). I know this sounds a bit like I don't really love a sport if I can FALL ASLEEP during it, but actually it is just the opposite. I LOVE falling asleep during sports games (on TV, of course!). There is something about the hum of the crowd that just makes me sleepy. And, I still got to watch the last 1 minute of the game (the most exciting part!), because my husband woke me up... YAY!

So, it's good to be in my life right now. I actually am really happy and content. On some level, I do feel like I am "waiting" around for September, but I'm really trying to remember that I only get to be pregnant for 9 months, but I get to be a MOTHER forever. So, I'm embracing this time. It's not always comfortable or easy, but I just keep reminding myself that it only gets more difficult.

    I love this new adventure.

  • April Showers and all that...

    Happy April, everyone!

YAY! It's April. I'm so excited to exist in the spring. There is something magical about the buds on the trees, and the tulips and buttercups and crocuses... Mmm...

Easter was a great time. We went to a friend's family celebration, and it was so much fun. That family is great. They are just like my extended Hunt family - they love to laugh and have a good time together. It was just like being with my own family.

So, in case you didn't read all about it on Facebook, I am totally pregnant. I'm due on September 20, and the pregnancy has been so great so far! Really. I haven't been sick or very tired or anything. The only thing is that my life seems more stressful than it has ever been before. Do you remember when I mentioned something strange going on? Well, it's gotten worse again, and so that's stressful. Also, my boss is freaking out about the economy, so that doesn't help the job situation.

But, I'm not here to complain. I've been LOVING food like nobody's business and I can't seem to get enough of it!! :o) It's amazing how quickly I will go from not caring about eating a particular food to NEEDING IT RIGHT THEN. Matt's been really good with the whole patience thing. He always fulfills my craving, but it's usually within a week of the craving happening. And, I actually don't mind it. There was one time when I craved ice cream and I needed it right then. But, I just ran out to the convenience store and bought some. It wasn't a big deal.

    Otherwise, life is good.

How are you all?! It's been so long, too long, really!

    Happy Thanksgiving

... happy thanksgibbing back. Ha! Do you remember that part of You've Got Mail? Matt and I have been saying those lines to each other over these past few days, because we are STOKED for Thanksgiving this year.

Matt will be doing ALL of the cooking at our humble abode, and we will have Bryan and Christine (and nephews, of course!) and our good friends Micah and Rachel over for the entire day. I'm SOOOO excited. There will be TONS of cute pictures very soon. I love these boys.

Also, we have begun our Christmas shopping, which is always an excellent time.

I'm loving the holidays this year. I'm very excited.

Oh, BTW, the tone of this blog entry is very different from the one just below, because things have improved.

  • When there's something strange... in the neighborhood...

Okay, I know it's a cheesy title, but I thought the word "strange", and I couldn't get this song out of my head. Now it's out and into your head... Hehe!

So, there ARE strange happenings in my life right now. I don't want to go into too much detail on this here blog, but it's one of those things that you think will never happen, but may in fact be happening. And, it's bad. You know.

I'm really trying to stay about 1500 miles away from it, though. Not that I'm in denial, I'm just not thinking about it all of the time, like I would if I were just 10 miles away.

Anyway... What else is going on...?

This weekend was a fun time! I went out for a birthday celebration on Friday, spent some quality girl time on Saturday (I helped a friend purchase a crib for her soon-to-be-born baby!!), had some very quality ALONE time on Saturday night and Sunday was just awesome. Sunday, we went to church. I taught Sunday School, with Matt's assistance, and it was TOTALLY fun. I love those kids. Sunday we went for lunch and then Sunday evening we had friends over for a dinner/potluck/watching of Ironman. It was such a great day.

Also, I am doing Yoga! Woot. I found this video online, and I like it quite a bit so far.

What do you guys do to keep in shape? I really like yoga, because I can do it in my second story apartment without disturbing the neighbors.
